We Do

Guided Practice: The teacher and students work together to apply new learning.
Students are supported through questioning and enabling and extending prompts to build confidence in a supported environment.

You Do

Independent Practice and Application: Students work independently or in groups to consolidate understanding.
Productive struggle is valued as students apply strategies and make connections.
Enabling and extending prompts support students at their point of need.

Reflect

Time for students to think about their learning, share strategies, and reflect on the success criteria.
This deepens understanding, builds critical thinking skills, and provides an opportunity for formative assessment.
