Shaping the direction of our school
The Kerribana Primary School Council plays a vital role in shaping the direction of our school, ensuring that the voices of parents, staff, and the broader community are represented in key decision-making processes.
The council works closely with the principal to set priorities, manage resources, and create a school environment where all students can thrive.
Our School Council focuses on big-picture planning, including:
- Contributing to the development of the school’s strategic direction
- Endorsing key policies and annual budgets
- Supporting school programs and community initiatives
- Strengthening connections between the school and the wider community
The Kerribana Primary School Council is made up of a mix of parents, staff, and a community member, ensuring a diverse range of perspectives are included in school decision-making.
- 5 Parent Members – Representing the parent community and contributing valuable insights into school priorities and family perspectives.
- 3 Staff Members – Including the principal and two staff representatives, who bring professional expertise and insight into educational programs and practices.
- 1 Community Member – Offering an external perspective and strengthening links between the school and the broader community.
Parent and community members are elected to the council through an annual nomination process. All parents and guardians of students at Kerribana Primary School are eligible to stand for election and vote during council elections.
